Caring Hearts for Canines (CHFC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit canine rescue organization based in Moore County, North Carolina. Founded in 2014 by Jennifer Johnston Chopping, CHFC was formed with a mission to save dogs from high kill shelters that would otherwise be euthanized. North Carolina has one of the highest rates of euthanasia, and a high stray population that keeps shelters at maximum capacity.
CHFC has a growing network of volunteers, community supporters, fosters and collaborative partners. In 2023, after an extensive fundraising campaign and a generous matching donation, CHFC purchased the rescue building cementing their place in the community for years to come.
