How do I volunteer or foster at Caring Hearts?

Fostering is one of the most important roles in a dog rescue. Without fosters we would not be able to rescue these pups that deserve another chance at happiness. A foster is responsible for feeding and daily care for the animal. All medical costs will be covered by Caring Hearts, but we might ask that the foster take the animal to the vet if need be. On average, a foster will be responsible for the pup for approximately 2 weeks or less, unless otherwise discussed.

Along with fosters, we rely on volunteers to help us walk the dogs, take them to vet appointments, transport, assist at events and other fun assignments!

Our volunteers sign up for shifts on our calendar that is sent via email. We have 3 shifts a day that volunteers can sign up for; Morning, 8-10am, lunch 1-3 and dinner 6-8. Duties during the shift include feeding, walking, playing, cleaning and anything else that needs to be done. We would like to build our team, and hope you can feel what we feel when we help these animals. It is a feeling of love and gratitude! Help us help them! Even if you can only sign up for a few shifts here and there, it all helps!
